Obituary

Eulalio Piedra Diaz, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on June 8, 1965, in Jourdanton, Texas. He devoted a substantial part of his life to serving in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served as a Tank Crew member and Engineer. Eulalio also built an illustrious career in construction, where he was renowned for his ability to create extraordinary structures—from homes to bridges—and even skyscrapers around the globe.

Eulalio was a man of many talents and passions. He reveled in the opportunity to work alongside others, guiding and helping them to grow both personally and professionally. His love for the outdoors found expression through hiking, fishing, and hunting, activities he cherished as a means of connecting with nature and his loved ones. Known for his firm yet fair demeanor, Eulalio had a compassionate side that brought joy and laughter to those around him. He had a unique knack for surprising people and often filled conversations with his light-hearted humor.

He is survived by his son, Sloan (Kendra) Diaz; daughters, Samantha Diaz and Clarissa (Corey) Masquef; step-daughter, Adriana (Daniel) Espinosa; step-son, Jonathan (Marisol) Guajardo; brothers, Alfredo Jr. (Cecilia) Diaz, Ricky Diaz, Lupe Diaz, and Gabriel (Sonia) Diaz; sisters, Adelfa (Lorenzo) Ramirez, Marta (Fairl) Morrell, Biatriz (Roger) Ramirez, Stella Diaz, and Mary Diaz; grandchildren Jase and Caroline Diaz, Jaxon Masquef, Zahara, Zion, Zaylee, and Ziamara Espinosa, DJ, Jaden, and Jasmine Guajardo. Eulalio's commitment to his family was unwavering, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness.

All services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home beginning on March 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. followed by the reciting of the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, March 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The family invites you to dress casually and comfortably as we gather to celebrate Eulalio's life.  Your presence and support mean the most,
