Eva C. Arguijo, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 19, 2025. She was born in Pleasanton, Texas on September 29, 1952, to Victor and Janie Arguijo and was raised in Pleasanton.

Eva is survived by her loving daughter, Valerie Martinez-Garcia (JD Garcia) and stepson, Victor Arguijo (Paige Arguijo); and her siblings, Delia Alcorta and Adam Arguijo (Cindy Arguijo); along with 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Janie Arguijo; her brothers, Willie Arguijo and Victor Arguijo and her sister, Rita A. Gaitan.

Eva was a vibrant soul who embraced life with joy, laughter, and a heart full of love. She found joy in the simple pleasures — whether it was treasure-hunting in thrift stores or enjoying a fun trip to the casino, especially Kickapoo. Her spirit was light-hearted, and her laughter was contagious.

For 20 years, Eva worked faithfully at Chevron, building lasting friendships and touching the lives of many along the way. Her work wasn't just a job, it was another place where she brought warmth, kindness, and connection.

Above all, Eva cherished her role as a mother. She adored her daughter and stepson with all her heart, and her love for them was unshakable. She also helped raise several children throughout her life, offering them care, guidance, and the kind of love that only someone with her generous heart could give.

Eva's legacy is one of joy, strength, and deep compassion. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with love by all who were blessed to know her.

All services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, beginning with a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m.  to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home, located at 118 W. Oaklawn Rd., Pleasanton, Texas.
