Obituary

Eva Herrera went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 15 at the age of 55. Eva was born on September 21, 1968, to parents, Nicasio Esparza Herrera and Elvira Gonzales Herrera in Jourdanton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicasio E. Herrera and Elvira G. Herrera; brothers, Roman G. Herrera and wife, Juanita B. Herrera, Nicasio G. Herrera and wife, Yolanda B. Herrera, Abelino Herrera and Albert Herrera; and brother-in-law, Valdemar Gonzales.

Eva is survived by her sisters, Felice H. Aguilar and husband, Gregorio Aguilar, Rosa H. Aguilar and husband, Blas Aguilar, Diana H. Gonzales and Mary H. Baeza and husband Asael Baeza; brothers, Samuel Herrera and wife, Nelida A. Herrera, Adam Herrera, Augustin Herrera and wife, Amy Herrera and Joe Herrera.  Eva will also be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Eva attended and graduated from Pleasanton High School. Her most memorable high school activity was to go on a trip to Disney World with her classmates.  She had the most wonderful memories from that trip.

Eva enjoyed spending quality time with her nieces and nephews, carrying the newest bundle of joy and making them smile. She spent time eating out with her family, playing Lotteria with her quarters, and watching her all time favorite show, "The Price is Right". Eva loved being photographed and collected family pictures. She also had many pets from ducks to Siamese cats to puppies.  Her latest pet, "Blackie" will surely miss Eva a lot.

Eva kept and brought family together for her birthday bash, with a big yearly celebration filled with games, food and the always present chocolate cake.  Of course, there had to be a family game of Lotteria! Surprisingly, Eva always won the last game of the night.

Eva and our family were blessed to have some wonderful ladies that cared and looked out for our little sister on a daily basis. Josephina Mendoza and Sylvia Rodriguez, who for years came 7 days a week to feed, bathe and be company to our sister. Recently, Teresa Esparza, who was with us on Eva's last evening.  May God bless these exceptional ladies!

Time may pass, but the love and memories we had will forever remain in our hearts.
