Obituary

Fidel Navarro, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born on Saturday, September 9, 1950, in Pleasanton to Jesus and Petra (Romero) Navarro.

Fidel, a dedicated individual who worked as a rig hand in the petroleum industry, and carpentry, found joy in simple moments such as camping, barbecuing, playing horseshoes and spending cherished time with loved ones. His passion for adventure even led him to enjoy moments of freedom on his cherished scooter.

Fidel is survived by his loving wife, Donaciana Navarro; sons, Raul Bosquez and wife Angie, Saul Bosquez, Bryan Navarro, and Pesko Romero; daughters, Donna Bosquez and Jimmy Rubio, Debbie Rose Bosquez, and Loretta Esparza; brothers, Johnny Navarro and wife Isabel, and Jesus Navarro Jr., and sisters, Margie Navarro and Elizabeth Navarro. He is also survived by his 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Fidel was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ignacio, Lino, Steve, and Joe Navarro, and sister, Victoria Barrios.

Visitation and services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in San Ysidro Cemetery.
