With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Florencia Zepeda Cardenas.  She went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2025 at the age of 87.  She was born on March 17, 1937 to Ponciano Zepeda and Victoria Lopez Zepeda.  Florencia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family, and devoted her life to looking after them.  She enjoyed her garden, crocheting, and cooking for her family, especially her famous enchiladas.

Florencia is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Ortiz and husband Marcos, Mary Cardenas, and Dolores Sandoval and husband Pedro, her grandson Michael Sandoval and his fiance Crystal Sepeda.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband Erasmo Cardenas, her parents Ponciano and Victoria Zepeda, and her siblings Refugia Zepeda, Luciano Zepeda and Albert Zepeda.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 23 from 3-9pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.  Her funeral mass will be on Friday, January 24 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton, and burial will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery.
