It is with great love and profound sadness that we share the passing of Floyd J. Lee, Sr. (88).  He passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022, in Tilden, TX.

He went out on his own terms; at home with the sun on his face, surrounded by his family.  He was a wise, humble, blunt, and honest man.  He did not appreciate the manners of society nor lived by them.  He did not paint pretty pictures with his words, he did not hold back, and he did not lie.  Some days truth and wisdom were relayed with impatience and a quick temper, but it was relayed, none the less.  He made time to stop and listen, to help, to fix.  He was an "old soul".   If you knew him, you knew!

Floyd J. Lee, Sr was born on July 31, 1934, in Advance, MO to John C. (Ted) Lee and Pauline Marie (Sears) Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. (Ted) Lee and Pauline Marie Lee; sons, Floyd James Lee, Jr., Johnny Dale Lee; brothers, Robert E. Lee, Don Lee and son-in-law Joe A. Serrata; some beloved nephews, and friends

Floyd is survived by his wife, Louisa M. Lee; daughter, Tina Lee Serrata; son, Jimmy Dale Lee; brothers, Johnny Lee (Faye), and Dannis Lee (Anita); grandchildren, Clayton Lee, Blaye Lee, Síanna Lee Serrata, Courtney Bartlett, and Lillie Lee; sisters-in-law, Glenda Lee (Don), and Phyllis Lee (Robert); Constants, Dale Lee and Wayne Lape, numerous extended family and good friends; and his beloved cats.

Visitation will begin from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Covenant Life Fellowship, 3841 Hwy 281, Three Rivers, TX. Services to conclude at the church.
