It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Floyd Eugene Roberson on March 30, 2024, in a tragic accident. He was born on February 24, 1986, in San Antonio, TX, and resided in Floresville, TX, where he lived a life filled with endless love, laughter, and hard work. Floyd was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Chelsea Roberson, a loving son to his parents Hugh and Madeline Roberson, and a doting father to his sons.

Floyd was known for his passion for hunting and fishing, his exceptional craftsmanship, and his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. A dedicated CDL driver for WL Contracting, he possessed a remarkable work ethic and was known for his ability to fix anything and his love for his Ford pickup truck and his many Harley bikes along the way.

A man who treasured family above all else, Floyd's love knew no bounds and transcended bloodlines. He embraced every individual he encountered with an open heart and a warm smile, never meeting a stranger along the way. His faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering, and he had planned to be baptized with his son, a testament to his spiritual strength. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pleasanton.

Floyd's zest for life extended to his love for the outdoors, country drives, road trips, and sharing these experiences with his sons, passing on his knowledge and passion for nature. His greatest joy was witnessing his son Virgil achieve milestones, such as shooting his first deer this past season, a moment of immense pride for both father and son.

A funeral service to celebrate Floyd's life will be held on April 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Pleasanton. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place on April 9, 2024, from 5:00 pm-8:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home. The ceremony will be a testament to the legacy and impact Floyd left on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Pallbearers will be Mark McCartney, William Lorenz, Paul Martinez, Jerrit Watts, Sean Veilleux, and Josh Angerlica.

Although he may no longer be with us physically, Floyd's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the remarkable man he was.

Floyd is preceded in death by his brothers John Allen Roberson and Jack Reynolds Roberson; grandparents Reba Marie and Lt. Virgil Clinton Roberson, Gaynelle Wells and Andrew Smith; and his aunt Constance Marie Terry.

He is survived by his wife Chelsea Roberson; parents Hugh and Maggie Roberson; sons Virgil Mason Roberson, Aden Hugh Holick and Zachary Burkholder; sister Amanda Huron (Derek); father-in-law and mother-in-law Steven and Leslie Holick; sisters-in-law Lacey Fancher (Bryan), and Bethany Holick; nieces and nephews Shyann Marie Roberson, Jace Roberson, Nolan Griffin, Logan Bosquez, Lyndi Kay Bauer, and Charlotte "Charli" Reese Fancher; uncle and aunt Michael Edward Roberson and Janie; as well as his cousins Winton, Clinton and Michelle Roberson.
