Frances Darlene Daughtrey, 78, of Pleasanton, Texas, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on November 4, 2025.

Darlene was born on September 10, 1947, in Alpine, Texas, to Arthur and Alice Cavness. She was a kind, hardworking, and loving wife and mother who will be remembered for her lifelong love of learning and her passion for teaching. For 29 years, Darlene inspired countless students as a junior high science teacher and coach. She earned numerous awards and certifications throughout her career and is fondly remembered by many former students as "the best teacher ever."

Beyond the classroom, Darlene found great joy in gardening. She loved surrounding herself with flowers and vegetables, often spending hours tending to her many pots and plants.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Lee Daughtrey; son, Lee Daughtrey; daughter, Nadine Barrow, and husband, John; grandson, Jacob; and sisters, Janas Morin and Joyce Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alice Cavness.
