Francis Jerome Stanush passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the age of 83.  He was born in Pleasanton on October 12, 1940, to Christian Joseph Stanush and Martha Matilda (Richter) Stanush.

Francis was a proud truck driver for Conoco Phillips, but those who knew him, knew him as a music enthusiast who collected records, especially Elvis. He had a love for dancing, often seen twirling across the dance floor with his infectious smile. A proud family man, Francis was a wonderful husband and father who cherished his loved ones deeply.

When not on the road, Francis spent his time working on cars, a hobby that brought him joy and satisfaction, or expressing his creativity woodworking.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Ann Stanush; son, James Christian Stanush; and siblings, Alvin Stanush, Wilfred Stanush and Alfred Stanush.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Becker; son, Francis Eugene Stanush (Jessica); grandchildren, Zachary Stanush, Carolyn Stanush, Laney Stanush, Emma Stanush, Hannah Childers, Robert Bernard and Jerry Rennspies; great-grandchildren, Lynna Ross and Brayden Childers; sisters, Jo Anne Rice, Mary Ann Harrell and Phyllis Murphy.

In remembrance of Francis's vibrant life and loving spirit, a visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  Mass will be on Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, starting at 10:00 am, followed by burial at St. Andrew #1.
