Francisco Garza
Sanchez
Nov 20, 1949 — Sep 11, 2024
Poteet
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisco Garza Sanchez, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Sanchez was born on November 20, 1949, in Mexico, and peacefully departed from this world on September 11, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.
A man of dedication and hard work, Mr. Sanchez spent 49 years of his life laboring at the sand mine for Palo Alto Co, showcasing his unwavering commitment to providing for his family. He was known for his industrious nature, preferring to stay active and productive rather than idle. His work ethic was matched only by his generosity, always willing to assist those in need.
Mr. Sanchez was driven by his love for his family and spent his life ensuring their well-being. He shared a deep bond with his daughter Leticia Martinez, embodying the qualities of a loving father and grandfather to her and his grandchildren. Earlier this year, he welcomed two beautiful great-granddaughters into the world, further cementing his legacy of love and care.
Mr. Sanchez had recently completed the construction of a home in Mexico, a dream residence where he had hoped to retire. Sadly, this wish remains unfulfilled. His admirable work ethic, kindness, and paternal guidance will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Francisco Garza Sanchez include a Rosary service to be held at Hurley Funeral Home on September 14, 2024, at 7:00 pm. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place at the same location starting at 3:00 pm. Following the ceremony, Mr. Sanchez will be cremated and then take the journey back to Mexico where he will be laid to rest.
Francisco was preceded in death by his wife Julia Garza; parents Toribo Garza, Anita Sanchez; brothers Aurelio, Arnulfo, Daniel, and Juan Garza; and his sister Ofelia Garza. He is survived by his daughter Leticia Martinez; grandchildren Alexis Santos and Amoryze Martinez; great grandchildren Nayeli Garcia and Mellena Soriano; brother Hermilo Garza; sister Mariade Jesus Garza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In honoring his memory, we celebrate the life of a man who dedicated himself to his family and work, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and selflessness. May he rest in peace.
