Georgia M. Polansky, age 87, of Jourdanton passed away with her family at her side on Friday, February 23, 2024. She was born April 7, 1936 in Jourdanton, to Ado E and Mary E. Polansky (Krajca).

Georgia graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1955 then attended Southwest Texas State. She worked for San Antonio Savings for many years as a loan officer, then she worked for Bank of America once they bought out San Antonio Savings. Georgia loved to read, and she loved to travel, she made several trips to Europe but one of her favorite places to go was Vegas! Georgia was a very caring and giving person to her family and friends and she also gave a lot of her time to St. Matthew Catholic Church in Jourdanton. She helped with the church picnics, but her true passion was working in the soup kitchen every Monday. She was also a member of the KJZT. Georgia will be missed by her family and friends!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ado & Mary Polansky, and sister Agnes Wilke.

Georgia is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Polansky; brothers, James Polansky, Ado Polansky and wife Kathryn; brother-in-law, Lester Wilke, and nieces and nephews, Lisa Bustamante (Joe), Robert Polansky (Kristin), Amy Alvord, Ericka Palmer (Jason), and Michael Wilke (Sandra).

She is also survived by 7 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 11:30 AM, interment will follow in St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers for Georgia's service are, Michael Wilke, Robert Polansky, Jason Palmer, Kyle Chilek, Kyle Palmer, and Zachary Wilke.
