With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Lee Hograves, of Poteet, TX. Gerald, a devoted husband to his wife Jackie Harnishfeger and a loving father to his sons Gerald Jr. and Alfred, passed away at the age of 49 on June 29, 2024.

Gerald was born on November 9, 1974, and was known by many as a real-life superhero. He was a hardworking man, making sure to provide for his family and always putting others' needs before his own. Gerald was a man of strength and courage, always lending a helping hand to those in need.

In his free time, Gerald loved spending time with his grandson Parker.  He enjoyed watching wrestling matches and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a music enthusiast, never missing a chance to attend a live concert. His passion for life and his dedication to his family and community left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Jackie Harnishfeger; sons Gerald Hograves Jr and his wife Sierra Camacho, and Alfred Hograves; and grandson Parker Hograves.

Gerald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his kindness, strength, and his selflessness.

**There will be a benefit on July 21st at Pop Da Topz in Poteet from10:30am-2:00 pm.  Plates will be $10 and will include a hamburger or sausage wrap, a bag of chips and a soda.  Please come out an show your support.
