Gilbert Garcia of Seminole, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at the age of 63.  He was born in Jourdanton on October 16, 1961 to Cruz G. Garcia, Sr. and Hortencia (Espinosa) Garcia.

Gilbert was a hardworking man known for his generous spirit and kind heart. He spent many years as a welder in the water well drilling industry, where his dedication shone brightly.

Gilbert had a true passion for life. He loved planting roses in his garden, the joy of hunting in the great outdoors, and the thrill of going antiquing. He was also a big fan of oldies music and could often be found jamming along to his favorite tunes. Those who knew him will remember his incredible Bar-B-Q skills, which brought friends and family together for memorable gatherings, and his love for his family was unmatched.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents, Cruz and Hortensia Garcia, Sr.; brother, Cruz Garcia, Jr.; and nephew, Christopher Robles.

He is survived by his brothers, Jesse (Eloisa) Garcia, Arturo Garcia, and Nat (Sonia Garcia); sisters, Gloria (Roel) Lara, Mary Martinez, Irene Garcia, Helen Garcia, Martha (Dennis) Garcia and Rosemary (Rudy) Ximenez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services for Gilbert Garcia are scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2025, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, starting with a visitation at 10:00 am, reciting of the rosary at 10:30 and mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Leming.
