Gina Clare Stanush Huizar passed away on July 12, 2023, in Pleasanton, Texas. She was born on June 17, 1961, to Alfred Stanush and Joyce Riddle in Pleasanton, Texas, where she grew up.

Her greatest joy in life was serving God, and her second was the love of her children and grandchildren. She found true devotion and commitment in 2006, when she married her husband, Armand. Although she lived a quiet and simple life, she left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Stanush; her mother, Joyce Riddle; and her brother, Toby Stanush.

She is survived by her husband, Armand Huizar; her son, William Garrett Riley; her daughters, Kathryn Jasik (Dustin), Victoria Mendez, Jocelyn Stanush, Gianna Mendez, Kacey Zapata (Juan), Haley Huizar Lopez, and Amy Walker Austin. And her grandchildren, Barin and Salem Jasik; Videlia, Truxton, and Greylynn Zapata; Gilbert and Gustavo Lopez; and Jackson, Payton, Juston, and Braydon Austin.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 16, 2023, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, starting at 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Monday, July 17, 2023, at Cowboy Fellowship, Jourdanton, starting at 11:00 am followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Leming.
