Giovanni Luca Guerra of Pleasanton passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of two and a half months.  He was born in San Antonio on October 31, 2022, to Sonni Poteet and Samuel Guerra.

Giovanni was an especially happy baby, who loved to smile and laugh.  He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Debbie Lynn Arguijo and Gregory Poteet; great-grandpa, Benjamin Brooks; great-great grandparents, Lois and Robert Poteet, and aunts, Lisa and Anita Ximenez.

Giovanni is survived by his mother, Sonni Poteet; father, Samuel Guerra; brother, Luciano; sister, Arianna; great-grandma, Pauline Brooks; paternal grandmother, Maria Chavarria; aunt, April Hurst and husband Michael and step grandfather, Roy Arguijo.

Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:00 am.  Services will conclude at that time.
