Obituary

Gloria Regalado Rivera of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born in Christine, Texas, on August 28 to Fidel and Cleta (Ramos) Regalado. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Gloria dedicated her career to food service. She worked at Pleasanton High School and later retired from First Baptist Daycare. Renowned for her baking, she created unforgettable cakes for weddings, birthdays, and family gatherings.

Gloria cherished time with her family, hosting barbecues and celebrations filled with love and laughter. She delighted in conversations with her grandchildren and had a passion for shopping—especially shoes, jewelry, clothes, the latest Apple phones, and James Avery pieces, which she generously shared with her grandkids. Her favorites included dining at Olive Garden and visits to the Miracle Tree. Known for her selflessness and resilience, Gloria was always there for others and faced life's challenges with unwavering strength.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Juan Rivera, Jr.; her children, Stephanie Andrada, Victor (April) Andrada, Liza Andrada, Megan (Joel) Mata, and Jeremy Rivera; her grandchildren, Hector Rivera, Mark Alvarado, Lexi Andrada, Jaden Mata, Madison Andrada, Jenna Andrada, Natalie Mata, and Hallie Mata; her great-grandchildren, Ariah Moreno and Amari Quinney; her siblings, Anita Martinez, Tonia Guerrero, Jesse Regalado, Rachel Mesquias, and Delpha Regalado.

Pallbearers: Joel Mata, Hector Rivera, Mark Alvarado, Jaden Mata, Brady Quinney, and Albert Moreno.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting with a visitation at 2:00 p.m., and a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Christine, starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Pleasanton City Cemetery.

Rest in peace, Gloria. Your love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever. We love you to the moon and back!
