Gregg Eugene Simmons, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was born on July 6, 1962 in Pleasanton to Earl Eugene "Gene" Simmons and Yvonne "Bonnie" Mangum Simmons. He attended Poteet High School, where he met his wife of 37 years, Kimberly (Mann) Simmons and graduated in 1980. He was well known as the owner of the Lazy S Cafe and the K. P. Corral, as well as being the Maintenance Supervisor for Atascosa County.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Bonnie Simmons.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Simmons; son, Garret Simmons; daughter, Staci Simmons; brother, Mike Simmons (Cyndee); sister, Denise Sikes (Matt); sister-in-law, Kathy Mann, and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

A visitation will be held in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel in Pleasanton, on Tuesday, March 12th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with family in attendance from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held in Poteet at Rutledge Cemetery on Wednesday, March 13th at 10:00 am.
