Guadalupe "Lupe" Brown went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2023, at the age of 85, surrounded by her family.  Lupe was born on December 29, 1937, in Pleasanton to Willie Y. and Francisca Arguijo.

Lupe was a loving and devoted sister and aunt.  Although she never had children of her own, she helped her sister Ruth raise her children Manuel, Eddie, Mary Ann, and Janie Sue.  She continued that devotion to her family by being an active aunt to the next 3 generations of nieces and nephews.  Lupe always made sure to have some type of snack or treat for the nieces and nephews, even if it meant walking to Center Pharmacy to get a piece of candy.  Lupe graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1958; she was part of the first graduating class from the current school.  When Lupe was not helping her family, she could be found at a dance on the weekend.  Lupe worked as a Nurse's Aide and continued working as a housekeeper until she was 82 years old.

Lupe is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews in Pleasanton and the surrounding area, Arizona, and California and sister-in-law Ernestine Arguijo of San Antonio. Lupe is proceeded in death by her parents Willie Y. and Francisca Arguijo, brothers Rafael Arguijo, Esmael Arguijo and sister Ruth Herrera.

Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, visitation beginning at 10:00 am, with a reciting of the rosary at 11:00 am, and a mass at 11:30 am with interment to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers for Lupe's services will be nephews Justin Garcia, Jake Uribe, Brandon Knotts, Mark Chapa, Max Anthony Ybarra and Randy Arguijo.
