It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Harvey Bermea, who left us too soon on November 16, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on November 7, 1976, in Jourdanton, Texas, Harvey was a true Texan who called Charlotte home.

Harvey was a graduate of the Charlotte Class of '96 and was known for being the life of the party. He loved to dance, share laughs, and spend quality time with family and friends. His infectious personality and sense of humor made every gathering memorable, and he had a knack for brightening any room he walked into.

Harvey leaves behind his beloved mother, Margie Bermea; daughters, Haley Bermea and her wife Angela, and Liza Cheyenne Ramos; brother Katlan Gaitan and his wife Sharena; sisters Keedra Chrisman and her husband Chuck, and Stephanie Contreras; as well as 2 grandchildren Aryielle and Laynee Bermea.

All services will be held on Monday, November 24th, 2025 beginning with visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., reciting of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. and a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home.

Though Harvey is gone, his spirit and laughter will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Let's celebrate his life the way he would have wanted us to—surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories, and dancing with joy.

Harvey was preceded in death by grandparents Jose Bermea Jr. and Juanita Bermea.
