Hayden Odell
Davis
Nov 10, 2014 — Sep 14, 2023
Pleasanton
Hayden Odell Davis, born November 10, 2014 to Jason and Victoria Davis has stolen every heart he has ever come in contact with. At 8 years old Hayden is more compassionate, intuitive, and genuine than most adults, always thinking of others before himself. His inquisitive spirit draws others to him, and the sheer depth of his questions has led many adults to scratch their heads. Hayden can always sense when someone is in deep need of a hug and is ready and willing to give it. Hayden's knowledge of dinosaurs from a young age has been a unique feature that most everyone is aware of and impressed by. That knowledge has started a passion leading to his desire to be a paleontologist when he grows up. Hayden loves to swim, fish, and be outdoors with his daddy. He just as equally enjoys snuggling with his mama who he has lovingly called Baba since he could talk. From the time Hayden became a big brother to Evie, he has given his sister even more love and compassion than the amazing amount he gives to others.
Hayden has a love for food, especially cheese pizza, hot dogs, and grilled cheese. Hayden loves playing guitar and singing with his BoBo, playing video games, and spending time with people he loves. Hayden is a heart warrior who has shown nothing but great resilience and fight since the day he was born. His sense of humor is unmatched and the ability to brighten any room he walks into. For 8, Hayden is a friend to many, always thinking of them and their needs first, no matter what the circumstances are. Hayden Odell is more than his parents could have ever dreamed of in every way.
On September 14th, 2023 Hayden decided his calling is to teach God a little more about dinosaurs. Hayden Davis is preceded in death by great-grandmother Clara Davis, and Donald and Elizabeth Henry. Surviving family great-grandparents Patsy and Leroy Hoerner, Debbie and Scott Collins; grandparents, Burlie and Dena McDowell, Frank and Bonnie Davis, Shelly Henry Davis; parents Jason and Victoria Davis; sister Evelyn Davis. Aunts and uncles Bryan Glover, Tyrel and Kendall McDowell, Darrian and Colton Boyd, Lexus Wilsher, Junior Davis, Zak and Kate Whitlock; and several cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and a celebration of Hayden's life immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home-Pleasanton. A private burial will be at the McDowell Family Cemetery.
