It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Hilario G. Salazar, who left us on November 21, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on February 28, 1945, Hilario was a man of the land—a devoted ranch hand for over 30 years who found joy and purpose in the great outdoors.

Hilario was a hard worker, known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. Though he was a quiet man by nature, once the conversation turned to work or the good old days, he could regale you with stories that would keep you entertained for hours. His kindness and generous spirit touched many lives.

Hilario is survived by his stepchildren Isaias Cruz, Jr. (Jolynn), Michael Hays, Jr., Bobby Delgado, David Joel Delgado, Victoria Willis (Tony), Angelica Ortiz (Tony), Melanie Ortiz (Juan, Sr.), Jennifer Hays and Katie Delgado (Chris); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces as well as other friends and extended family.

He is preceded in death by long-time friend Gloria Lopez Delgado.

Hilario has been laid to rest next to Gloria in Christine City Cemetery.

In honor of Hilario, let us remember his unwavering work ethic, his love for the outdoors, and the many ways he made a difference in the lives of those around him. Rest in peace, Hilario; you will be missed dearly.
