Inez Gonzales Martinez Arguijo passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born in Port Lavaca, Texas on November 2, 1948, to Leandro Martinez and Natividad (Gonzales) Martinez.

Family was the heart of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with those she loved. She had a deep love for music and enjoyed filling her days with her favorite songs. She was also an amazing cook, known especially for her delicious meat with gravy and chilies, dishes that her family will always remember fondly. She expressed her love through the little things, especially a home-cooked meal prepared with care.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Leandro and Natividad Martinez; husband, Manuel Arguijo, Jr.; grandchildren, Eric Teran, Alexandra Galvan and Alicia Maria Arguijo; and siblings, Maria Rodriguez, Leandro Martinez, Carlos Martinez, Manuel Martinez and Juanita Martinez.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Debra Teran, Manuela Arguijo (Fidel), and Vickie Galvan (Jose); her four 4 sons, Joe Arguijo (Andrea), Ramon Arguijo, Pete Arguijo (Elida) and Ramiro Arguijo (Zulema); brothers, Luis Martinez, Valentin Martinez, and Jimmy Martinez; sisters, Alvina Rodriguez, Elida Martinez and Oralia Martinez; along with 41 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
