Inez Serrata, age 75, of Tilden, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 7th, 2025 in Jourdanton, Texas.

He was born on May 6th, 1950, and was the son of Tila Serrata and Juan Serrata. He was known for his friendly nature and spent his life surrounded by family and community. Throughout his life, Inez worked many different jobs, including fence work, ranch work and rough-neck work. He also worked for the county in Tilden, where he ultimately retired from. His strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand made a lasting impression on those around him. He also loved to cook and was well known for his homemade pies and biscuits.

He is survived by his son, Jeremiah Martinez, and his wife, Heather Martinez, of Jourdanton, Texas; his sister, Rosemary Deleon, of Jourdanton; sister, Dora Rios, of Tilden; brother, Johnny Serrata, and his wife, Debbie Serrata, of George West; sister, Florinda Segura, and her husband, Ray Segura, of Tilden; his sister Lydia Serrata Kyser of Missouri; his brother, Joe Loza and his wife Laura Loza, of Elmendorf; his sister, Valary Merchant, and her husband, Neal Merchant, of Tilden; his brother, Matthew Serrata, of Pleasanton; his brother, Jake Serrata, and his wife, Bailey Serrata, of Tilden. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kade and Karson Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tila and Juan Serrata; his brother, Joe Albert Serrata; and his sisters, Amanda Serrata Smith, Sylvia Flores, and Margie Serrata.

Inez will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

The pallbearers will be Jeremiah Martinez, Jake Serrata, Matthew Serrata, Dion Serrata, Kirk Serrata, Chane Serrata and Kole Latham.
