**Obituary for Isaiah Nathaniel Carrasco**
It is with both heavy hearts and joyous memories that we celebrate the life of Isaiah Nathaniel Carrasco. He was born on February 4, 2005, in San Antonio, Texas and passed away February 19, 2026, at the tender age of 21. He was surrounded by those who loved him and leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Isaiah was diagnosed with cancer on December 24, 2021, and fought the courage battle with his vibrant spirit and infamous smile.
Isaiah was a bright light in the lives of his family and friends, particularly his loving parents, Matias Carrasco and Marisol Martinez. As a special needs young man, he possessed a unique outlook on life that touched the hearts of everyone around him. Isaiah had a passion for video games, music, Marvel movies, DC movies and the epic tales of Star Wars, going to festivals, and going to the beach finding joy in the worlds of imagination and adventure. He loved dance and enjoyed drinking his favorite chocolate shake from Dutch Bros and drinking Dr. Pepper. He loved going to eat breakfast at his favorite restaurant, Selly's sitting at table 7 and ordering 3 potato and egg tacos with a chocolate milk.
His high energy and infectious laughter could brighten any room, and he had a special talent for lifting spirits with his vibrant presence. Always did everything with a smile.
One of the highlights of Isaiah's life was his trip to Disney, granted to him by the Make-A-Wish Foundation—a testament to his enduring spirit and the joy he brought to others. He embraced every moment with a smile and a joke, reminding us all of the beauty in laughter and the importance of cherishing life's simple pleasures.
Isaiah is preceded in death by his grandparents Juanita Cruz and Matias U. Carrasco Jr.; his uncle Leonard Carrasco; and his half brother Alexander Alva. He is survived by his father Matias Carrasco and stepmother Precious Lopez, mother (mama Bear) Marisol Martinez (who affectionately called Isaiah "Bear"); sister Eliza Carrasco; half-brother Richard Alva and half-sister Mya Carrasco; grandmother Elida Carrasco and aunt Adriane Carrasco. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by the reciting of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated 11 AM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
