Ismael C.
Rodriguez
Apr 16, 1979 — Sep 2, 2025
Poteet
Ismael "Smiley" Cipriano Rodriguez, age 46, entered eternal rest on September 2, 2025. He was born on April 16, 1979, in Jourdanton Tx to Cipriano Rodriguez and Stela (Guerrero) Rodriguez. Smiley was a special man whose heart, laughter, and love left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met.
At Heaven's gates, he is reunited with his beloved parents, and brother-in-law Frank Carmona.
Smiley is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 24 years, Stephanie Rodriguez, and their beloved children, Zoey Rene Rodriguez, Miley Lilliana Rodriguez, Darren Rene Rodriguez (Liliana), and Ismael Cipriano Rodriguez Jr. (Victoria De La Garza); grandsons, Jaxon, Calvin, Smiley "Tres", and a grandson on the way, Elias.
He is also survived by his cherished sister, Kippy Rodriguez Carmona; nephew, Cippy Carmona; niece, Inez Carmona; and great-nephew, Noah Benavides.
Smiley was a hardworking man who poured his heart into everything he did. His family, his friendships, and his work. He was known for his infectious sense of humor, his loyalty, and his ability to bring laughter to everyone around him.
A proud and lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Smiley never missed a chance to cheer on his team, with his daughter Zoey by his side! He had a passion for motorcycles, especially his beloved Harley. Smiley found true joy in life's meaningful moments: watching his grandsons play sports and watching his daughter Miley cheer under the Friday night lights. He was always their biggest fan and most devoted supporter.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Darren Rodriguez, Smiley Rodriguez, Jr., Cippy Carmona, Oscar Guerra, Justin Sharbino, and Issac Ramos.
Though his time with us was far too short, Smiley's selflessness, laughter, and unwavering love left a legacy that will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
