Jennalea Kirsten Hill, 36, born on October 25, 1988, in San Antonio, TX, will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and loving heart. A graduate of Pleasanton High School in 2007, Jennalea dedicated her career working at Deason Animal Hospital in Floresville and being an Adjunct Instructor, LVT at the Veterinarian Technician program at Palo Alto, San Antonio.
Known as a "fixer-upper'' of both broken animals and broken souls, she had a special gift for nurturing and healing. Her home was a sanctuary for all kinds of creatures, from horses, dogs, cats, raccoons, to water buffalo, and sometimes people, demonstrating her deep love and compassion for all living beings.
Jennalea competed in rodeos and barrel racing since childhood, and everything western in-between. She did livestock shows and judging contests, always maintaining a passion for her horses. She was actively involved in animal rescue efforts and was a proud advocate for fostering and rehabbing animals in need. Working with many different rescues to ensure the incoming animal was properly placed with the correct rescue or foster parent. She created the "No Titty Babies Gang" project, which involved caring for dogs born with defects, giving them a chance to live and then placing them in loving homes, showcasing her selfless and nurturing nature.
Her genuine love and infectious personality touched the lives of all who knew her. A believer in Christ and the power of the gospel, Jennalea lived authentically and inspired others to do the same. She never met a stranger, embracing all with open arms and a kind heart. Her vibrant personality, genuine kindness, she was a friend to all.
Jennalea is preceded in death by her grandparents J.B. and Billie Hill, and Ernest and Magdalen Korus; Uncles Jay B. Hill, Jimmy Don Hill, and Joel Wayne Hill; and Aunt Virginia "Ginger'' Hill. She is survived by her parents Jarrell and Janice Hill; brother Jay Hill; Aunts and Uncles Bonnie and Moe Lauderdale, Raymond G. and Connie Navarro, and Joyce and Charlie Soell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In celebration of her life, a Funeral Service will be held at Cowboy Fellowship Church on November 8, 2024, at 10:00 am. Prior to the service, a Public Viewing will take place at Hurley Funeral Home on November 7, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. Jennalea's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
