On April 25,2023, Jesus "Jesse" Cordova went to be with our lord. Jesse was born on March 10, 1953, in Dobrowolski , Texas.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Manual Sr. and Christina Cordova; and his brother, David Cordova.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ida; two children, son, Johnny and wife Raquel, and daughter, Jessica and husband Mark. Jesse was a proud grandfather, Popo Jes (P.J.) to his four grandchildren, Johnathan Martinez, Mireya Martinez, Trinity Cordova, and Christian Cordova. Siblings, Manuel Jr. (wife Carmen), Anita Trevino (husband Andy), Joe (Ruth), Tonia (husband Al), and Domingo (wife Amanda).

Jesse loved spending time with his grandchildren. He taught his oldest grandchildren to drive, while his youngest loved to spend time with him outdoors feeding horses. He loved hunting and riding around with his grandson Johnathan, listening to music and loved watching his granddaughter Mireya run track. Jesse retired from the oilfield in 2018 after 42 years. Jesse also loved the years he spent with friends' team roping. He never met a stranger. Jesse (Popo Jes) will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at St. Matthew Catholic Church starting at 9:00 am until 11:00 am, with a reciting of the rosary at 11:00 am, followed by mass at 11:30 am.  Burial will be at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.
