Jesus "Jesse" C. Salinas, Sr. passed away in Pleasanton on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the age of 79.  Jesse was born in Jourdanton to Francisco Salinas and Maria (Cordova) Salinas on February 4, 1945.

He was a proud lifelong resident and employee of Atascosa County, where he worked as a mechanic.  Jesse was a true outdoorsman. He loved spending his days hunting and fishing, embracing the peacefulness of nature. His passion for antique cars was evident to all who knew him, as he enjoyed admiring their classic beauty.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Francisco Salinas; children, Reagan Salinas and Dedra Martinez; and siblings, Juaquina De La Garza, Mary Helen Gonzales, Johnny Salinas, Frank Salinas and Hermencia Salinas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sylva Salinas; daughter, Eunice Cruz; sons, Jesse Salinas, Jr. and Frank Salinas; grandchildren, Hazel, Serena, Genia, Aaron, Angel and Richie; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, David Salinas; sister, Helen Cordova; along with many extended family and friends.

Visitation services are scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2024 in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, followed by a graveside service on Friday, November 22, 2024, at San Jose Cemetery, Jourdanton starting at 10:00 am.
