Jesus Rogelio Zepeda passed away peacefully in San Antonio, on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the age of 80. Jesus was born on November 7, 1943, in Campbellton, to Jesus Zepeda and Domitila (Rosales) Zepeda.

He loved fishing and could often be found with a line in the water and a smile on his face. Jesus also had a knack for darts and pool, always ready for a friendly competition with friends and family.

A talented musician, Jesus delighted in playing the accordion and dancing to its lively tunes. In quieter moments, he enjoyed reading and challenging his mind with puzzles and crossword puzzles.

Above all, Jesus was a devoted husband to Antonia Zepeda, his wife of many years. Their love was evident in the way they looked at each other and the life they built together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maria Bernal, Estella Conteras, Connie Gibson and Carolina Garza; and brother, Ricardo Zepeda.

Jesus is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Antonia Zepeda; children, Benito Perez, Maria Obregon, Anna Vazquez, Carina Martinez and Gricelda Martinez; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother Ramon Zepeda (Mary Frances); along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Campbellton, with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM, and a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Campbellton City Cemetery.
