Susie Camarillo Guerra, 96 years old, of Poteet, Texas, beloved mother to 6 children, passed away peacefully 2 days prior to her 97th birthday on June 7, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 9, 1928 in Jourdanton, Texas.

Susie was known for her resilient strength, hard work, love, kindness, and very humble heart. Susie dedicated her life to her family, always a source of comfort and support. She found joy in playing bingo, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Susie is survived by her children, Maria Vasquez and husband Gumercindo, Steven Guerra and Veronica, Ruben Guerra Sr. and wife Gracie and Raymond Guerra and wife Pam; and brothers, Willie, Johnny, Roy and Manuel Camarillo. She is also survived by grandchildren, Bobby (whom she raised as her son), Chelsie, Brianna, Nancy, Shirley, Jennifer, Veronica, Larry, Gabriel, Angelina, Anthony, Melanie, Ruben Jr., Albert Jr., Norma, Selma, Joe Anthony, Oscar and Tina; and an abundance of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Guerra Sr., sons, Juan Alberto, Sr., and Adolfo Guerra, grandson, Steven Guerra, Jr., and parents, Guillermo Camarillo and Romana Camarillo.

Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, with visitation starting at 10:00 am, reciting of the rosary at 11:00 am and funeral mass being celebrated at 11:30 am. Services will conclude at the church.

Serving as pallbearers for Susie's service are Albert Guerra Jr., Gabriel Guerra, Ruben Guerra Jr., Joe Anthony Guerra, Shirley Vasquez and Zachary Guerra.
