Jewell Aline Binkley passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on May 24, 1932, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Emery Benjamin French and Mabel (Harland) French.

Jewell was not only a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, but also a dedicated member of her community. She proudly served as the Secretary and Treasurer at the Jourdanton First Baptist Church for many years, showing an undeniable love for her church family. In addition to her church service, Jewell devoted over 30 years of her life working at the San Miguel Power Plant. Anyone who had the pleasure of enjoying her pecan pie, knew it was the stuff of legends—always a favorite at family gatherings and church potlucks.

Jewell was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Binkley; parents, Emery and Mabel French; son, Larry Binkley; grandson, Shawn Riley; and great-granddaughter, Katelyn Riley.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Roy Riley; and grandson, Michael Riley.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Jourdanton City Cemetery, starting at 11:00 am.
