Obituary

Jimmie Meredith Cornelius earned his wings in the Band of Angels on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 63.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Cynthia (Bucket 'O Sunshine); his adored children, JeCody (Scooter) and wife Christina, Amber (Bambalam) and husband Jon and Krystal (Doodle) and husband Manny; grandbabies, Nicholas, Cadence, Colton, Jolene, Jozlyn, Charlie, Jordin and Autumn; his treasured mom and dad, Gayle and Levi; brother, Ferlin and wife Belinda; and the other love of his life, the other woman, "Lady Blue" his Stratocaster guitar; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Jimmie was preceded in death by infant baby Cornelius; his brother and sister, William and Ruby; mother and father-in-law, Eva and LeRoy; and brother-in-law, LeRoy Jr.

Jimmie cultivated his love of the guitar at the young age of 7 and had the opportunity to play everywhere including Nashville, Tennessee.  He even had a band named Stage One, which has released numerous CD's.  Even though music was Jimmie's passion, his first love was his family.  He and his loving wife, Cynthia celebrated 42 wonderful years together.
