It is with great love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jo Ann (Gilbert) Mahoney (88). She passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Jourdanton, Texas. Jo Ann was born on Wednesday, October 31, 1934, to William Gilbert and Dora (McDonald) Gilbert.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 57 years John Mahoney; parents, William and Dora Gilbert and her son Mark Mahoney.

Jo Ann is survived by children, Michael John Mahoney, Mary Elizabeth Mahoney, Marci Mahoney; grandchildren, Michael Parker McDonald, Jasper Newton McDonald (Tracy), Luke Mahoney (Kaitlyn), Dylan Mahoney (Caitlyn), Sheila Hall, Cory Reinhard; great-grandchildren, Tyler Ann McDonald, Meahgen McDonald, Jasper McDonald, Jr, Adaline Grace McDonald, Conner Mahoney, Sloane Mahoney, Alice Mahoney, Eleanor Mahoney, Allen Hime, and Johnny Hime; great-great granddaughter, Payton Hime; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Graveside visitation will be at 9:30 am with a graveside service to follow at 10:00 am on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Jourdanton City Cemetery in Jourdanton, Texas.
