It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of JoAnne Lopez at the age of 68. She was born on Wednesday, December 12, 1956 to Vicente Loza Sr. and Elida Alaniz in Three Rivers, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Gonzales and son-in-law Rudy of Christine, Texas; her mother, Elida Alaniz of Tilden, Texas; her grandchildren, Zechariah Loza and Erica Aranda; her great grandson, who was also her God son, Zefrin Gonzales and her great granddaughter, Julia Gonzales; a niece, she considered like a daughter, Lisa Loza of San Antonio; and her God daughter, Mercedes Blanco of Tilden, Texas. JoAnne is also survived by her sisters, Mary Garcia (Felipe), Sally Loza and Valary Merchant (Neil) all of Tilden, Rosa Breazeale (Chuck) of Goliad, Texas; her brothers, Vicente Loza Jr. of Tilden, Texas, Joe Loza (Laura) of Elmendorf, Texas, Matthew Serrata of Pleasanton, Texas, Jake Serrata (Bailey) of Tilden, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Juan Lopez; her daddy, Vicente Loza Sr.; and her little sister, Margie Serrata.

Serving as her pallbearers will be Joe Loza, Matthew Serrata, Jake Serrata, Jerome Hernandez, Izaya Pena and Zefrin Gonzales. Her honorary pallbearer will be Vicente Loza Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Bautista Catholic Cemetery.
