It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joe "JJ" Angel Aguero Jr., who departed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on Monday, June 11, 1990, in Pasadena, Texas, Joe was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, known for his kind spirit and unwavering dedication to his family.
A resident of Deer Park, Texas, Joe was a dedicated professional in the medical billing industry, where he was recognized for his work ethic and commitment to his role. He also worked at Mamarita's Mexican restaurant, and was the assistant manager of Food Town grocery store. JJ brought knowledge, warmth and compassion to all those around him.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Rachel Llamas; sister, Ashley Aguero and husband Joey Bowen; brother, Jacob Aguero; grandfather, Ines Llamas; grandmother, Mary Lou Aguero; uncle, Ronald Llamas and wife Lorrie Garcia-Llamas; and aunt, Roxie Llamas. He is also survived by cousins, Ryan Llamas and wife Evan, Lorissa Llamas, Lorrin Llamas and fiancé, David Martinez, and Bentlee Guzman; niece and nephew, Alaina and Mateo Aguero; and stepmother Alex Aguero. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Joe was preceded in death by his father Joe Angel Aguero Sr.; brother, Joeanthony Aguero; grandmother, Eppi Llamas; grandfather, Francisco Aguero; and uncle, Frankie Aguero.
In honor of Joe's life and legacy, a public viewing will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Campbellton on Friday, August 21, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 PM, leading into the celebration of the mass at 2:00 PM. Joe will be laid to rest next to his grandmother, Eppi Llamas, in Campbellton City Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and support of each other during this difficult time. We invite all who knew Joe to join us in honoring his memory and celebrating a life that touched so many.
