Joe Kenneth
Gonzales
Sep 2, 1966 — Jan 26, 2025
Yuma
Joe Kenneth Gonzales ("Kenny"), a cowboy at heart, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children, his pastor, and church friends on January 26, 2025, at 58. Born on September 2, 1966, in Sweeny, Texas to Joe Gonzales and Jan Sigler, Kenny lived a life marked by independence, his green eyes and quick wit capturing the attention of all.
While life presented its challenges, Kenny's heart remained true to his love of the open range. He embodied the spirit of the cowboy: strong, free, and with a deep connection to the land. He was a skilled horseman, a great team roper, and in his youth enjoyed steer wrestling.
In his later years, Kenny found joy in reconnecting with his family. He leaves behind his wife Yolanda Gonzales, parents Joe Gonzales (Brenda), Jan Sigler (Laran), siblings Jacky Gonzales, Bobby Janek, Shanna Cavaness (Craig), Kelsey (Kimberly), Lexi (Dakota), children Cheyenne (Rhett), Chelsea (Carlos), and Jake (Brooke) Gonzales, six grandchildren: Scarlett, Aurora, Juliette, Jett, Jackson, and Ellie, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish the memories of his stories and fun-loving humor. He embraced the opportunity to rebuild relationships and create new memories with those he loved. His family will remember him for his courage and determination to right his wrongs.
Services for Kenny will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2024, starting with a visitation at Hurley Funeral Home, in Pleasanton, Texas from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 pm, in Hilltop Cemetery, in Tilden, Texas.
His favorite place to be was at his grandparent's home and his final wish was to be buried alongside them in Tilden, Texas.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
