Joe Ned Gossett, 76, passed away peacefully at home Friday April 5th, 2024.  He was born to JoLe and Frank Gossett on April 29, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas at the Nix Hospital.

Ned grew up in Pleasanton and attended Pleasanton High School.  After attending college at Southwest State University, Ned returned to Pleasanton to work with his grandfather, Joe K. Williams and cousin, Billy Joe Shannon on the family ranch.  He also worked in the family business, Williams Hardware, and once retired continued working on the ranch.

Ned is survived by his wife, Elizabeth and his children, TJ (Melissa) Gossett, Matt (Jessica) Gossett, Julee (Dusty) Carlton, Aaron Gossett and 10 grandchildren, Lila Gossett, Clara Gossett, Grant Gossett, Jenna Gossett, Noah Brawner, Ellis Gossett, Joy Guinn, Evy Guinn, Josephine Carlton, and Jack Gossett.  He is also survived by his brother and sister, Ted Gossett of Pleasanton and Zoe (Jim) Bouligny of El Campo.
He loved being outdoors and spending quality time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JoLe and Frank Gossett.

A memorial service will be held on Friday April 12, at 11:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church Main Street. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects.
