Obituary

Joe Gutierrez Jr. peacefully left this world on November 8, 2024, in Pleasanton, TX at the age of 82. Born on December 7, 1941, in Pleasanton, to Adela and Joe Gutierrez, Sr..  Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Joe was a dedicated employee at San Jose Cattle Company for over three decades, embodying the values of hard work, integrity, and dedication. As a cowboy in the agriculture industry, Joe's passion for his work was evident every day. His commitment to providing for his family never wavered, always ensuring they had everything they needed.

A true family man, Joe cherished spending time with his loved ones. He had a passion for working in the yard, tending to his garden, and hosting BBQ gatherings for family and friends. A loyal Washington Redskins fan, Joe's enthusiasm for sports brought joy to those around him.
Throughout his life, Joe showed unwavering love and care for his wife, especially during times of illness. His selfless dedication to her well-being was a testament to his character and love for his family.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Luisa Gutierrez, parents Joe Gutierrez, Sr. and Adela Herrera Gutierrez, siblings Lydia Hunnington, Louis Gutierrez, Jacinto Gutierrez and Olivia Gutierrez.

He is survived by his daughter Debbie Madrid and husband Raymond, sons Joe Gutierrez, III, and wife Stephanie, Daniel Gutierrez and wife Sandy, David Gutierrez and wife Laurie, sister Diana Ybarra. He is also survived by numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Joe's life will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in.  A public viewing will take place on November 18, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be held on November 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.  Interment to follow at San Ysidro Cemetery.
Joe Gutierrez Jr will forever be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love he shared with all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.
