Joe Louis Paez of Pleasanton passed away in San Antonio on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was born in San Antonio, to Joe R. Jr. and Maria Magdalena (Camacho) Paez on Friday, October1, 1965.

Joe is remembered for his outstanding accomplishments in his life.

During high school, he is remembered and revered as an outstanding musician. He played the Trumpet in the Pleasanton High School Band and marched proudly during football games and band competitions. He was known for his outstanding performances and Solo Work during his time in the band.

After high school, Joe had pursued a career in Law Enforcement with the Atascosa County Sheriffs Department. He honorably served as a Deputy Sheriff under Sheriff Tommy Williams. He spent 23 years protecting and serving the community of Atascosa and surrounding areas.

He was remembered for his ability to bring joy into people's lives and spreading kindness to everyone he encountered. He embodied the spirit of happiness and love.

Joe is survived by his son, Joe Alexander Justice Paez; mother, Maria Paez; daughter, Lissa Marie Martinez; brother, Mark Paez, and granddaughter. Tauriel Elizabeth Martinez. He is also survived by niece and nephew, Mark Jr. and Valerie Paez.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe R. Paez Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Loire, with the reciting of the rosary at 10:00 am followed by the celebration of the mass at 10:30 am. Services will conclude at the church.
