Joe H. Schneider, Jr. known to most as Henry Schneider went home to be with our heavenly father on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in Jourdanton.

Joe served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He is a member of Poteet Texas VFW Post 697.  Joe worked forty years for Harkins Oil Company.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mary Schneider, his wife Iona, son James, granddaughter Anne, sisters Jelma Lee, Mildred, Mae, Mattie, brothers Carl and Clifton.

He left behind nieces and nephews, Sandra and her husband Jerry Fearn and family, Viola Rheinlander and family, Judy and husband Jesse Copeland and family, Nettie Hensley and family, Barry and wife Rebecca Schneider and family, Beth and husband Richard Niemann family, Diane and husband Don Wehmann and family, Johnny and wife Gene Cox and family, Mary Ellen Neill Miller, Jeannie Smith, cousin, Paul Schneider and good friends Rudy Pena and Vernandin and China Moreno

A graveside service will be held at Rutledge Cemetery in Poteet, Texas Saturday March 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
