John Mark Pesqueda, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away tragically on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the age of 28. He was born on August 8, 1996, in San Antonio, to Juan and Rose Mary Pesqueda.

John Mark was a man of many talents and passions. He was a devoted Christian, a successful manager in his company, and a dedicated coach, who inspired young athletes with his enthusiasm and belief that sports taught life lessons.  His love for football, baseball, and basketball knew no bounds, and he exhibited his athletic abilities as a showman on and off the field. John Mark could often be found cheering the loudest for his girls, nieces, and nephews during their school games, whether soccer tournaments or softball tournaments.

John Mark was a family man at heart, he took immense pride in his role as a devoted husband and father, finding solace and happiness in the presence of his loved ones.  With a smile that could light up a room and a contagious zest for life, John Mark lived boldly, always pushing boundaries and doing the unexpected. Through his actions and words, he made everyone around him feel special and valued. His joyous spirit turned ordinary gatherings into vibrant celebrations, leaving a lasting impact on all those he encountered.

Whether on the playing field or in the workplace, John's commitment to success and unwavering dedication were unparalleled, inspiring those around him to strive for greatness. His legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know him.

John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Celestino and Julia Pesqueda; and maternal grandfather, Candelario Calvillo, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dominique Gonzales Pesqueda; children, Genesis, Serenity, TJ, Aurora and Gia Pesqueda; parents, Juan and Rose Mary Pesqueda; sisters, Kimberly and husband Chris Salazar, Amy and husband Edward Chapa, and Amanda and husband Philip Perez; nephews, Christian Salazar and Nicholas Chapa; nieces, Megan Salazar, Marissa Chapa, Oliivia Perez, Omri Perez and Ottilee Perez; and lastly, his Godparents, Maria Calvillo and husband, Candelario Calvillo, Jr.

A visitation to honor and celebrate John Mark's life will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  A celebration of mass will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church starting at 11:30 am with burial to follow at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.
