With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Jose Ángel Lores, a dedicated father, loving husband and pillar of his family. Jose, 74, peacefully departed this world on September 7, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with dementia.

Jose was born on August 1,1949 to Jose Manuel De La Fuente Lores & Dolores Lucio Ramirez in Tamaulipas, Mexico, where he spent his formative years. He was an extraordinary man, recognized for his unwavering dedication to his family. For 39 years, he shared a deep and abiding love with his beloved wife, Argentina Lores, creating a bond that served as a shining example of commitment and devotion.

A proud father of six children, Jose leaves behind a lasting legacy through his children Cynthia Lores, Yolanda Lores, Leonela Escalona, Perla Marina Lores, Jeanette Roca and Jonathan Lores. He valued his role as a father and took great pride in raising his family. Her guidance, love and support shaped the lives of her children, instilling in them values ​​of integrity, compassion and perseverance. Grandchildren are Vanessa Gallardo, Jorge Gallardo Jr, Jamie Gallardo, Jaqueline Gallardo, Myra Mota, Joshua Vela, Lucio Mota, Jr.; Alexis Escalona, Fabian Escalona Isaias Lores, Ismael Angel Roca, Nahum Omar Roca and Nahaliel Roca.

Jose's greatest joys in life were found in the laughter and love he shared with his children and grandchildren. He was a source of strength and wisdom, always ready to extend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. He reveled in the unique joys and challenges of raising five beautiful daughters and one son, and his unconditional love for them knew no bounds.

Outside of his family, Jose was a respected member of his community. He was known for his kindness, generosity and willingness to help those in need. His warm smile and welcoming nature warmed the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In his spare time, Jose had a passion for gardening, which he enthusiastically shared with his family. Whether it was gardening or tending livestock, he enjoyed these moments as opportunities to bond with his loved ones.

Jose Ángel Lores will be eternally remembered for his enduring love, his dedication to family, and his unbreakable spirit. His legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren, who will carry forward his values ​​and the lessons he taught them.

Although he no longer walks among us, his memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, reminding us of the love and strength that define the Lores family. Jose's legacy is one of love, unity and unwavering support, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held Friday September 15, 2023, at 7pm at Iglesia de Dios Monte Horeb in Jourdanton, Texas.
