Jovita L. Valdez, age 53, of Lytle Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her home.

Jovita is preceded in death by mother, Maria Anita Lopez, and brother, David Aguirre.

She is survived by her husband, of 37 years, Jose Maria Valdez; father, Refugio Lopez; children, Celestina Valdez and husband, Ricardo Patlan Jr., Christopher Valdez and wife, Stacey, Justin Valdez and wife, Angelica, Andrea Valdez and husband, Joseph Martinez; grandchildren, Doralicia, Juan, Jose, Jagger, Jerzee, Journey, Serenity, Leticia, Journee, Bryson, Nehemiah; sister, Elsa Aguirre; brother, Daniel Lopez; and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Lytle.

Interment to follow in Lytle Community Cemetery.
