Juan M. Gonzales, age 85, passed away at home in Poteet, on Friday, May 17, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pleasanton, on Monday, May 15, 1939 to Rosalio Sr. and Maria Luz (Molina) Gonzales.

Juan is survived by his daughters, Rita Alaniz and Ruth Martinez; son, Juan Diego Gonzales; brother, Rosalio Gonzales Jr., and sister, Maria Martinez. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Valerie Flores, Rudy Carrasco and wife Brenda, Vanessa Carrasco, Jack Carrasco and wife Jessica, Veronica Lambardia and husband Charles, Jeremy Gonzales, and Alaina Flores; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

Juan was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elena "Orta" Gonzales; daughters, LIsa Gonzales and Mary Jane Sandoval, and grandson, John Martin Alaniz.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, there will be a visitation starting at 10:30 am, the reciting of the rosary and funeral service starting at 11:30 am. The interment will follow in Madre Dolorosa Cemetery #1.
