Judith
Stacy
Jan 4, 1940 — Dec 13, 2022
Judith Kay McCormick Stacy went home to Jesus on December 13, 2022 at the age of 82.
She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by love in her daughter's home and is finally at rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Judith, or "Judy Kay" as many called her, was born to Robert Leonard (Buster) and Ella Modiene McCormick on January 4, 1940 in Benavides, Texas.
As a child, she excelled in school and athletics and if you believe her brother, Danny-she could run a 40 faster than all the boys in high school.
Judy Kay met her husband, Johnny Roy Stacy, in High School. Her family moved to Pearsall in 1954 and shortly after that, she fell in love with her husband of 64 years.
High School sweethearts, they married August 10, 1958- only a couple of months after high school graduation.
They went on to have nine children-five sons, four daughters - and thus began STACY NATION!
Judy Kay, the heart of a giant! She was fierce in her love as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and wife.
A total sports fanatic! One of her greatest joys was watching her children and grandchildren compete in football, basketball, volleyball, track, baseball, tennis and performances in choir and plays.
She was known for a keen eye on statistics and you could always find her with a notebook keeping encrypted shorthand stats that no one but her can understand.
These notebooks which stack up high over the years are priceless treasures to those who competed knowing that she was always their greatest fan!
Her love for children extended well beyond her family. As director of an afterschool program, she touched countless young lives because of her love and willingness to serve others.
For two decades, she was passionate about them getting to know Jesus above all else.
Her family rejoices knowing that Judy joins her parents, Buster and Modiene, her sister Lynda Jo, her brother John, her adored nephew Dannye Lane, and her beloved grandson Austin in heaven.
She is survived by her husband Johnny Roy Stacy of Pearsall, her big brother Danny Oland (Elaine) McCormick of San Antonio, her little sister Dawn (Tito) Cubriel of San Antonio, her son Shane (Tammy) Stacy of Tarpley, her daughter Paige Clifton of Boerne, her son Clayt (Corinne) Stacy of Devine, her son Reagan (Susie) Stacy of Devine, her daughter Wendye (Marty) Sumner of Robstown, her daughter Collye (Dallas) Collins of Devine, her daughter Lynssi (Bobby) Grubb of Bigfoot, her son Garrett Stacy of Leander, her son Reid (Roni) Stacy of Ennis, many Loving in-laws, and a host of precious nieces and nephews.
Perhaps her greatest legacy is that of being
"Meaney" to all of Stacy Nation!
She is survived by her pride and joy -24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren!
Judy Kay, fighter of the good fight, leaves behind STACY NATION and many, many more friends and family. She will be forever loved and forever remembered.
