It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katelyn "Katie" Rose Riley, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who left us far too soon on May 8, 2024, in Jourdanton, Texas. Katie was born on September 4, 2008.

During her time with us, Katie's vibrant spirit touched many lives around her. She embraced her passion for music, playing the clarinet, piano, and guitar with unparalleled skill, often delighting those around her with her beautiful voice. Katie's love for animals knew no bounds—from chickens and rabbits to pigs, cats, and dogs, she cherished each and every creature. Her dream of working at an animal hospital showcased her immense compassion and dedication to caring for those in need.

A bright and caring soul, Katie adored spending time with younger children, showcasing her kind and nurturing nature. Her laughter and joy resonated through the air as she enjoyed the great outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature. Her love for culinary arts shone brightly as she indulged in cooking classes, especially relishing oysters on a half shell and seafood boils.

Katie's presence will be deeply missed by her family, including her mother Melinda Teague (David); father Michael Riley; sister Ellen Capule (Elben), her grandparents Allen Rogers (Gloria), and Roy and Phyllis Riley; great-grandmother Aline Binkley; as well as many other family and friends. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in the treasured memories we shared with her and the impact she had on all those fortunate enough to know her. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Linda Rogers.

Funeral services and ceremonies to celebrate Katelyn's life will be Friday, May 24, 2024 beginning with visitation from 10:00 am to 12 noon, a Celebration of her life will be at 12 noon followed by interment in Jourdanton City Cemetery. Katie will forever be remembered and cherished for the light she brought into the world.

May Katelyn Rose Riley's gentle spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her deeply.
