Laurie Marie Qualls entered into rest on April 18, 2024. She was born in San Antonio, on February 20, 1956, to Thomas and Mary Lange, residing for the majority of her life in Jourdanton where she graduated high school, class of 1974.

On February 28, 1976, she married Randy Qualls and together they raised their two children, Jennifer and Cory. She worked for 16 years as a paraprofessional for Jourdanton ISD. She was most remembered for her creative and artistic abilities and especially her talent for sewing.

She enjoyed her pets, sewing, fishing, camping, and spending time with family, but her greatest joy came from attending her grandsons' sporting events.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Randy Qualls; her daughter, Jennifer and husband Heath Poppe; her son, Cory Qualls; grandchildren, Brooks and Brody Poppe; sister, Tara and husband Mark Gawlik; niece, Bethany and husband Will Loy; nephew, Mitchell Gawlik and brother-in-law, Dwayne Qualls.

The family would like to thank and extend their gratitude to all of those who have reached out and offered their condolences by sending messages, visiting and prepped meals over this past month. The outpouring of love and generosity has truly been indescribable.
