Leslie Carol
Stockton
Jan 12, 1949 — Feb 14, 2026
San Antonio
Leslie Carol Stockton (Hediger), age 77, of San Antonio, Texas, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 14, 2026.
Leslie was born on January 12, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, to Alton Henry Hediger Junior. and Betty Willis Hediger (Schumann). She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Harlandale High School in 1967. On October 21, 1967, she married Arch, and together, during his service in the United States Coast Guard, their journey took them back and forth across the country. They made a home more than eighteen different times before finally settling back home in San Antonio in 1998.
Leslie's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She was saved at an early age, and her faith carried her through the years. She was a devoted member of Christ's many churches, where she served in various ministries. She found great joy in prayer, scripture, and sharing the love of Christ with those around her.
Leslie fiercely loved her husband and children and, through the years, made a home no matter where they were. She always did what she believed was right for her family. She found joy in roses, bluebonnets, birds, crochet, and jigsaw puzzles, but her greatest blessing was the time she shared with her family. She liked to say that she never met a potato she didn't like. She also had a deep love for old country gospel music, finding comfort and joy in the timeless hymns of her faith.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Arch Stockton Jr.; her children, Jennifer Myers and Arch Stockton III; her grandchildren, Aaron Myers, Megan Gale, Leisa Schwarz, Ashley Stockton, Natalie Sedillo-Stockton, and Emily Stockton; and her siblings, Elizabeth Voigt and Joe Hediger. She was preceded in death by her father, Alton Henry Hediger Junior.; her mother, Betty Willis Hediger; and her sister, Darla Jean Hediger.
A graveside service celebrating her life and her faith in Jesus Christ will be held on February 20, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Brite Cemetery in Leming, Texas. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no reception or additional gathering.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to honor her memory to make a donation in her name to a charity that is meaningful to them.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
