In Loving Memory of Librada "Laly" Bosquez

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Librada "Laly" Bosquez. Born on

January 12, 1945, in Mexico, she peacefully departed from this world on April 14, 2024, in Pleasanton. Laly, a cherished wife, a devoted mother, and a doting grandmother, will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In her humble abode, Laly cultivated a garden filled with blooming flowers, a testament to her love for nature's beauty. She loved roses of all types, gardenias, and the crown of Christ. She had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. Her hands, skilled in the art of quilting, sewing, and embroidery, created masterpieces that will forever be treasured by her family and friends. A culinary enthusiast, her kitchen was a place of love and warmth where she shared her delicious creations with those she held dear.

A devout Catholic, Laly found solace and strength in her faith. She will always be remembered for her unwavering devotion to St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the spiritual community she held close to her heart. Her kind and welcoming spirit knew no bounds, as she never hesitated to extend her hand in friendship to both old acquaintances and new faces alike.

Laly was preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Alicia Gallegos; and her brothers, Guadalupe, Juan, and Ramiro Gallegos.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Aurelio Bosquez; daughters, Gloria Bosquez (George Garza), and Vanessa Guzman (Ray); sisters, Margarita Torres and Eloisa Quiroz; grandchildren, Rebecca Williams (Leonard), Matthew Segura, Aiden Guzman and Avery Guzman; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Tristen and Mason Hildebrand; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Laly Bosquez's life will be honored and celebrated at the following events:

  • Public Viewing at St. Ignatius Catholic Church: April 24, 2024, at 11:00 am
  • Rosary at St. Ignatius Catholic Church: April 24, 2024, at 1:30 pm
  • Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church: April 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm
  • Burial at Bautista Cemetery: April 24, 2024, following mass

In her loving memory, let us reflect on the legacy of kindness, faith, and love that Librada Bosquez leaves behind. May her spirit continue to shine bright in our hearts, guiding us with her gentle presence as we navigate the journey ahead. Rest in peace, dear Librada, your memory will forever be cherished.
