Linda Pearl Wallace (Orrick)
02/02/1948 - 06/17/2026

Linda spent her first thirty years in Knoxville Tennessee where she met her husband of thirty six years Wayne Wallace a native Texan before moving to Pleasanton, Texas in the summer of 1976 and finally to San Antonio with her daughter Honey and son-in-law Lonnie. She was born on February 2, 1948 to David Orrick and Ellen Lynell Orrick (Buhl) and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 17, 2026. She was the third born of eight children.

In Texas, she began working for Brite Office Supply and then became owner of her own store, Atascosa Office Supply and finally worked at the first Office Depot in San Antonio as office manager. She was very proud that she managed all of this with only a seventh grade education.

She was also a mother and homemaker who loved to crochet: crocheted afghans for her children, grandchildren, and others, potholders, scarves and matching beanies and Easter bunnies. She made a winter scarf for her primary care physician of Kenedy, Dr. Roberto Ramirez, and Easter bunnies for the staff, whom she cared for because they took such good care of her for over 25 years and loved her. Linda even made Christmas ornaments: functional bells that jingled, red and white candy canes, icicles, snowflakes etc.. In fact, Christmas was her favorite holiday. She strung hundreds of lights and decorations in her home and over 1000 lights strung outdoors with many displays. People came from surrounding towns just to see her creations.

She was also a co-Scout Brownie leader for her daughter's troop for a year. Linda was also a compassionate animal rescuer. She raised three squirrels when city workers chopped down their tree and brought them to her to raise as well as numerous kittens and cats over her lifetime.

Linda is survived by her eldest son, Danny Pressley, daughters, Honey (Lonnie) Knight and Candi (Jason) Hawkins, sister, Kathy (Coy) McCarter, brother, Charlie Orrick, grandchildren: Savannah (Lee) Pannell, Kelsey Pressley, Jesse Pressley, Summer (Ryan) Higgins, Reyanne Tipton, Drew (Kelsie) Riley, Taushlyn (Aaron) Sefcik, Maddie (Chris) Wilkins, Garrett Knight, Nicholas (Lily) Gallegos, Kristie (Cody Loughlin) McClane, Brooke ( Jeremy) Kuehl and Kendall (Kenneth Nunn) Hawkins, great-grandchildren: Alethia, Judah and Emerie Pannell, Jackson and Hollyn Higgins, Bentley and Emma Tipton, William, Braelynn, Adleigh and Evelyn Riley, Reagan Sefcik, Serenity and Colt Gallegos, Charli and Rylee Loughlin, Henry Kuehl and Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by parents, David and Ellen Orrick, Husband, Rupert, Wayne Wallace, son, Duane Pressley, brother, David "Cowboy" Orrick, sister, Sue Frisby, sister, Carolyn Tipton, sister, Joyce Carroll and sister, Phyllis Orrick.

A Memorial ceremony was held at the Jourdanton City Cemetery on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Officiating: Chaplain Jack Ruffin.
